Well boys and girls it's that time of year again. The time of year when I become a hermit (Hermits United! Bonus points if you know what that's from.), a shut-in, a crazy cat lady! Wait. No. Scratch the crazy cat lady part. I don't do cats... Do you know what time it is yet? No? Are you sure? 50, 000 words ring a bell? No? Hmmm. Did anyone even notice me drop off the face of the Earth last year? No?! You all suck. Talk about making a girl feel loved, geez!
Alright I'll stop. For those of you who don't know. *glares* NaNoWriMo starts in November. And for those of you who actually care *more glaring* I would totally appreciate it if you don't take offence at my disappearance this November. I would also love you even more if you would take it upon yourself to make sure I'm still alive. Just check in every few days, ya never know.
Seriously though, I would love it if you guys would call/message/actually visit me this month and bug me about my word count. And then make fun of me when I am behind. Nothing says motivation like a group of friends laughing at you because you can't keep up your word count. And then when I win I can rub it in every one's faces like I did last year! Yay!
And remember! Sleep is for the dead! I don't need sleep this month! I have a novel to write, baby! Woot!
And Sarah? Your going down!

Heartless
I was sitting in class the other day when the guy behind me started talking about death. He was harping on a relative for not letting the death of her mother go. From what I understand she visited her mothers' grave about once a week. All he could say was "Hey she's gone. Get a life." I couldn't help but think how heartless that sounded. Of course he probably hasn't lost anyone he's close to yet. But still. I know, for a fact, that when I loose a close family member I'm going to fall apart. I can imagine it now. I mean jeez I've had nightmares about this sort of thing. All I'm saying is if you've known someone long enough it would be hard to let them go. Just because they're dead doesn't mean they can't here you. Grieving, no matter how long it lasts, is not a horrible thing. And I don't want to sound mean but I hope he learns that someday.

The reps from each college were awesome. They really wanted to help you learn about your college and if their college didn't have what you needed they would try and point you toward the right booth. It was wicked cool. And, I have to admit, I'm a brochure klepto. Seriously, ask Kaitlyn. But, uh! All the colleges. So many choices. None of them (except Michigan Tech) had anything to do with Archeology. Which was incredibly depressing. But that's okay because I want to worry about becoming a history/English major first. Yay me!

The atmosphere, the food (specifically the well-priced-butt-load-of-chilly-cheese-fires), the people, the teachers (Mr. Thomas, I love you!), the classes (CIS, I own you! Ha!) and everything else.
But alas, to every upside there is a slippery slope that tumbles downward into an abyss of ugliness. But don't let that get ya down! No siree. *takes calming breath* Alright. I'm better now. Promise. Almost everything else in my life has been slowly slipping down that aforementioned abyss. But don't worry, I'm working on that. And I hope, within a few months a few of my ideas will help make it better.
One of the things I'm working toward constantly is rewriting my novel The Order. I hope to finish it before November so I can send it to a few people for editing purposes and then begin sending it to publishers (hopefully) by the end of the year. And I'm taking a heavy interest into what college I plan on attending along with applying for every scholarship possible. So yeah, I've been a busy...(for lack of a better word) beaver.

And then I had an idea. So I got the munchkins together and we cut out strips of construction paper. We wrote prayer requests, blessings and some of our favorite verses on them. Now we have a real prayer chain.
Hannah and Josh thought it was the neatest thing. And I loved helping them with it. Hannah kept writing down various verses and I had to keep asking her what she thought they meant. Her answers always surprised me. Josh wrote out, like, four links asking God to help him be more calm and then three that just said thank you.

I turn sixteen in a week. Eep! I'm gonna be old! Hahahahaha. Just kidding. Mum's side of the family gave me a party yesterday. It was okay. The money I got will go in the bank so I can save it for college. Jeez. I shouldn't be worrying about college funds right now. I should be spending that money frivolously(sp?).
Ah well. You do what you have to I guess. Besides. I can spend my money any way I want to when I finish my schooling and become *drum roll* Dr. (of Archeology) Prager! Huzzah! Course, by the time I actually get there I might be married...with kids. Yay! I love kids!

This question came up the other day. I was sitting in my room, reading a book when Josh popped out of thin air and asked it. I love his randomness, it totally makes my day. So I explained to him that you could drown a fish by taking him out of the water or holding his gills shut. Then I told him that those are horrible things to do to a fish. How would you feel if someone held your mouth/nose shut so you couldn't breathe or stuck you under water. He thought that it would really suck. Yes, Josh. It would really suck. I love him. He's a weirdo. But he's my weirdo.

I gave about half the stuff away and then shoved as much as I could into the closets, everything else is being neatly shoved into the room. Yay, for me.
Mom and I took Josh and Hannah to see Kung Fu Panda the other night. It was so awesome. Josh and I talked through most of the movie. He ate like, half of my sour jelly-bellies. I swear I could live off of those things. I saw Kate there too. We had originally planned to meet each other there but it didn't pan out. Josh, get out of the kitchen. Heh. Sorry. I tend to type what I'm saying.
Oooh. I guess I am getting a birthday party after all this year. My mom's side of the family is going to throw me one on the fourth of July I guess. Not exactly ideal conditions. I mean...it won't be on my birthday, which is the 13th. But it's better than what dad's side of the family did (except Aunt Ashley, she totally rocks). They completely forgot about my birthday and put the family picnic on the 13th. Augh. Oh well, they're still my family and I love them anyway. Just don't expect me to show up, k? If you hadn't guessed already I'm turning 16. Woot! Go me.
K, that's about it for now. Other stuff has happened of course but it, like this stuff, is not incredibly important. Okay, I think that's enough procrastinating for now. I have dishes (euwwww), laundry, and other menial house labor to do. See, ya.

I have to be saved by my younger siblings by a bug that is a couple hundred times smaller than I am.
Mom and Dad went to go see Iron Man tonight for their 20th anniversary. So I'm stuck here baby sitting. Alone. By myself. Without any contact with the outside world. So it's up to me to feed, bath, and put the kids to bed, which includes saying prayers with them. Then I have a Spanish project to finish. Hm. I really don't like Spanish. No offense Hache (Spanish teacher) but Spanish just isn't my foreign language. *shrug* I'm thinking Latin...or German...or french if it's the only thing I can find. But no more Spanish. Definitely no more Spanish.
Since the whole 'spider incident' the novelty of the new computer has worn off. So, I'm going to go put a musical in, I'm thinking Seven brides for Seven Brothers, Phantom of the opera, or Pirates of Penzance, I'm in a musical-ly kind of mood. Good night and good luck.

Which is why there is a picture of Josh (he's much easier to look at than I am anyway). I helped Dad plant the new grape vines. We bought a new computer with Vista. It's a gorgeous Del by the way, 22 inch wide screen monitor, over four USB ports and...sorry, got a bit off on a geeky sprint there for a moment. I have dad's Xp and the sub woofer that came with it. Heh.
I suck at Spanish. And math. And I'm pretty sure I'm failing all my other classes too. Except History, I have an A in history. Ooh, there was a fight in school today.
I'm going to make this my best summer ever. Because this just might be my last here, boy I sure hope not, but ya never know. And...I think that's it.
OK then. That is my last few weeks in a nut shell. I have a dress to fix. *glances at clock* Oh joy. It's 11. Guess it's another all nighter. This sucks. I'm going to be so dead tomorrow. OH, I almost forgot. The 14th (tomorrow). Is mum and dad's 20th anniversary. Be sure to call or wish them eternal happiness (seriously, I have no idea where that came from, must be the sleep talking) or something along those lines. Goodnight and good luck.

P.S. I just read this thing over and I sound kind of sarcastic, ticked off, and what not. Sorry about that. I'm not actually like that. I'm normally bubbly and optimistic. I swear. I'm just sleep deprived. And for those of you who've had the eventful meeting with a sleep deprived Haley, I've moved passed the giggly stage.
Well this is crap. Sorry but it is. I just had about five whole paragraphs about what has been going on since spring break and I just accidental deleted the whole thing. That sucks. Okay then, Reader's Digest version.
I'm the 19th Informational speaker in Michigan (you have my permission to be amazed). I've given up being an archaeologist (among other things of which only Amber knows). Mom is threatening to give back the fedora and bull whip she bought for my sixteenth. I'm one heck of a seamstress. I need to find a job. Driver's ed is to expensive. I'm taking two College classes in the fall and I need to find someone who can take me the first week and I'm willing to pay for gas. Since I'm not going to prom *glares at people who were so sure they could find someone to ask me* (Just kidding, I know you guys tried and I love ya for it) {Even though I may not be here for prom next year}[You totally fell for that didn't you. Okay. That's enough of a pity party for now. Time to tell you about the high point of my week. Thursday and Friday. Thursday was my ortho appt. Gaul. I intensely dislike going to see my orthodontist. They had to replace a ring on my back left molar. For those of you who have know idea what that means let me enlighten you. They put glue on this thin metal ring and shove it on my tooth, push the gum line away in the process. And yes, it does hurt. Oh yeah, and they made me wear rubber bands again. To make up for it they gave me an electric toothbrush, normal toothbrush, and a t-shirt. For free. Somehow, it didn't quite do it. Ah well. I got home, I made the kids lunch, sent them outside to play, and practiced my speech at least twenty times.
It totally payed off. I know have my speech comfortably memorized. I also am proud to say that I kicked butt at Regionals. Third place. Oh yeah, that's right. Third. For those of you who thought I couldn't do it. In. Your. Face. Ha! And for those of you who believed in me. *sniff* I love you guys so much. *sob* Can't you feel the love? I can. It was so much fun. Except for the stupid judges. The judges were all on drugs. I swear. I have never seen such stupid comments in my life. One idiot complained that it was raing so loud and she couldn't hear me. Sorry lady, bur that's an act of God. I don't really have control over those. Gaul.
So yeah. I think Dad and I might go see a movie. Who knows, maybe on of my loser friends will call and redeem themselves. Just kidding. I totally love you guys. I made it to State. Very little could bring me down right now. TTFN.

Mom said that she had gone into the pantry and was about to pull a bag of cereal down from the upper shelf when, get this, a mouse jumped away. Mom isn’t afraid of mice, or even rodents for that matter.
I checked the pantry a few minutes later and the mouse had relocated to the canned vegetables. It was just sitting there, sniffing around. I motioned for mom to hand me the camera and I took a quick picture. That mouse froze. It didn’t move for a good minute. And then it was gone. I put a glue trap in the pantry and Dad is going to bring home some more traps for me.
I was the only one who wasn’t completely freaked about there being a mouse in the pantry. Josh wouldn’t even go in the kitchen. He would freak out everytime I made for the pantry door, so of course, being the horrible person that I am, I pretended to open a few times. By the third time we were laughing. Any way it was pretty funny. Besides, most if not all, houses have mice or other rodents in them at one time. (Not to make you paranoid or anything) *shrug*

Guess how excited I am. What? You don't want to guess? You think it's a waste of time? Fine then, I just won't tell you. Hmph.
Oh? So you do want to know huh? Well I won't tell you unless you guess...So there. Pfffft! Really excited, you say? Well your wrong. I'M ECSTATIC!!!!!!!! Yup.
It's a three day trip to D.C. I'm going with the band. Here's most of the stuff we will be seeing (be prepared for a long list)...Arlington National Cemetery, Iwo Jima Memorial, National Zoological Park, Union Station, Washington Monument, Lincoln,Vietnam, WW2, Jefferson, FDR, White House?, National Archives, U.S. Bureau of Engraving & Printing, U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. We will be doing other stuff too. But, what I am most excited about is the SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION! (Jees, you'd think I never used caps lock before..)
As I was saying The Smithsonian. Gaul! How cool! *squeel* I'm such a geek...I love history. I mean, come on! I want to be an Archaeologist. This is a dream come true for me. *giggles* So excited.
Well, I really do need to get back to packing. Gaul, I hate packing. Almost as much as I hate dishes. I always forget something. Grrr. Ah well, it can't be helped. I will be taking as many pictures as humanly possible (i.e. until my finger breaks). I will try to get a few of the better ones up here when I get back on Sunday, but I'm not promising anything. Wish all my friends, and myself, luck and keep us in your prayers. *excited squeal* Love you all!
P.S. Amber, if you read this, thanks. I owe you...a lot. I'll try and bring you back something shiny, and if that doesn't pan out ...cookies...any kind you want. Mwaahahaha!

I wasn't the only one who placed though. Josh was second (I think, don't quote me on this) and Megan was sixth. I'm just happy I placed. If all I get all year is sixth and such I will not be disappointed. Ever. And you can quote me on that. Heh.
Sorry that I posted this a bit late. I've been pretty busy with family stuff...and pure joy. I'll post some other nonsense something or other later this week. Until then I have memorising to do. TTFN.

I don't usually like to back down from something like this. And I'm not going to lose this week.
Now, if I could only memorise my speech and perfect my visuals. I always have trouble memorising things, my speech is no exception. I am happy to say that I know more of it now than I ever did last year. My visuals on the other hand.....Sheesh. That is the one thing I hate about Info. Forensic is all about speaking, how you present yourself...not your visuals. The people who let their visuals take over seem to do better. Now where is the justice in that? But I will prevail!
I've been sick on and off all this month too. Last Monday night mom took me to the E.R. because I was having trouble breathing. I was more worried about missing the tournament (now that's commitment) than actually feeling better. I had an upper respiratory infection. After a whole bunch of medication, three bloody noses (because of the medication) and a few days of rest, I was feeling better. Good thing too, because I wore my voice out at the tournament.
Well, I should get back to my speech. If anyone has any tips or anything for memorising my speech (especially the motivational kind {even if that means coming over and forcing me to do my speech}) please, feel free to drop me a line. Have a good week and don't forget to pray for all the kids participating in this Saturday's tournament. TTFN.

Speaking of Forensics I'm not doing Prose any more. I just can't seem to do it. Ugh. So last Friday when I was looking through my files on Word and I found last years Mackinac piece. I read through it and thought 'Hey, why not?'. So, I'm back in informative and all of you who were expecting to thump me in prose...heh...sorry. This year it's all about Sock Monkey's. Tease my if you must but I love them. I made my own sock monkey.
Jean Claude 'The Jaunty' Monkey. He is made out of a small pair of socks, so he's not as big as Hannah's monkey, Bananas. He is also paraplegic. I only sewed on his right arm, tail, mouth, and the legs. His other arm fell off and I used it in my Mackinac piece as a pointer.

Yeah, it was great. He comes up to me at random moments, hugs me and tells me how pretty I am. No one does that and it is really nice to hear. And he's just so darn cute. He'll be so annoying that you want to kick him out into the snow one minute and the next he's all 'I love you Ewe...' Yeah. I wormed my way out of dressing up in a dress because I've misplaced the two or three that I own. We went out to eat first and then holed up at Qwynne's house. The sugar cookies that I had brought were a huge hit. I knew that everyone like the cookies, I just never realized they like them this much. It's nice to know that there is something I can do right. We barely stopped laughing the whole time. Oh yeah...Kaitlyn, Megan, Miriah, Robin, and Katie were there also. Heh. I'm tired. Anyway, after cake and ice cream, and a few balloons getting blown up in our faces, Qwynne and Katie broke out two Dance Dance Revolution mats.
Oh. My. Gosh! I've never played DDR before but I kind of new what it was. I was really shocked to find out that I was so good at it. And it was so much fun! We played it for an hour or two. All I need now is a PS2 and DDR and my life will be complete. Seriously, I enjoyed it that much. After everyone (but myself of course) was tired of DDR we played Guitar Hero. I didn't like it as much. Yes, it was the same concept, but I'm not really good at it and I don't need to get any better. Yeah. Then we watched a few movies. The Game Plan, which I think I dozed of about half-way through, I remember hearing the movie and the girls talking though.
They just had to watch a scary movie. I just don't do scary movies. I am scared way to easily, ask any of my friends. Disturbia was harder to watch than Glass House (yes, that movie scared me) even though I practically new what was going to happen before it did. "NO! *gasp* Don't turn around he's behind you!" "That's not a person in the bag, he wouldn't be that careless, it's gotta be a deer or something." And so on, and so forth. Gah. I huddled against Qwynne who used Katie as a shield when things got really bad. I have to admit though, the acting was fantastic!
Let's just say that the girls were all needlessly freaking out and shrieking all night. We played truth and dare for a while too. Or, actually, we just played truth, we were all to chicken to even move. There is one question I always had trouble answering when I play 'truth'. Who do you like? I eventually broke down and told them. *sigh* But no one else is going to get it out of me! Definitely not. The girls didn't fall asleep until 5:00ish. Yes, am. I fell asleep at 5:30ish...am. I was the first to wake up at 7:50. I got dressed and everything as quietly as I could and then waited until 9:20 to wake the girls up. I was the only one up during that time. Talk about lonely.
Ah well, that's all for now. I really need to finish some home work, make fudge (hmmmm, fudge) and then catch up on some Zzzzzz.
Spork On. Haley.
Qwynne's birthday party/sleepover/thing was yesterday. Boy, that was fun. Qwynne had a theme of 'formal but wacky'.
Gah. Yay! I have passed the dreaded exams!

Thursday, Exam Day 1
How did my exams go you ask? Well I passed World History with flying colors! It is my best subject after all. Mr. Mishler looked up at me after he had read my five essays , each at least a whole page long, and said "Haley, this is excellent." I was so excited. Yay! My day went down the tubes when I realized two whole days of studying for Spanish hadn't helped a whole lot. I did all of the vocab words and there genders, and the possessive nouns...but was totally screwed up on telling time. If there is one thing I will never be able to do in Spanish it's tell the time.Geometry was a breeze. Mr. Emery pretty much gave us the answers to the test. He wouldn't have had to give us the answers if he would just teach us the stuff correctly in the first place. Ugh!
Friday (today), Exam Day 2
I officially think band is evil! Well, at least the exam is. I aced the part where you had to name the clefs and match names to terms. But when I got to the section where you had to place terms like [adagio, largo, lento, vivace, presto...] in order....Qwynne kinda helped me. And then Jandi may or may not have helped me with the chromatic scale, perhaps, you never know. Earth Science was long but really simple. I think I was the highest grade in our class. 86%. Mr. Mock was proud of me. I love Mr. Mock. English was sooo simple. You had to pick one out of nine essays about Huck Finn. I picked one that had something to do with lying in the story. Is a 'good' lie okay? Questions like that. I took my lawful (lawful good is lawful great!) view point and ran with it. MY lawful-ness got me and A. Yay!
Over all? I'm pretty sure I passed this semester. *happiness* Okay then. I think I am going to sit in my room and start practicing my piece for Forensics again, I haven't had a chance to look at it all week. *yawn* Bye.
Spork On, Haley.
P.S. Dave (my semi-paraplegic {Lucy chewed off his leg}turtle) says hi.

And the stupid thing is I love English it is one of my favorite and best classes (normally).
And the Sweet Heart dance is coming up. The girls are trying to convince me to go, but I'm not sure I want to. I told Qwynne I wouldn't go unless I was on court (yeah, like that's going to happen) or I have a date (yet again, not likely). I loved Homecoming, it was a blast. But Sweetheart wasn't that much fun last year. I don't expect it to be much different this year. Besides...why does everyone think it's called sweetheart. Your supposed to go with your 'sweetheart'. Isn't that the whole purpose of it? Hmm. Besides, I will have to go through all the trouble of getting a dress and paying for a ticket...yada, yada, yada...
I can't wait till this summer. All I want to do is get back outside and work on the gardens. I had a good sized vegetable garden with tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, chives, and some other herbs...and corn. But the corn failed. Never again will I plant corn! It got all buggy and contracted smut. Which is disgusting. If you ever get the chance you should google it. Kind of cool in a creepy sort of way...The flower gardens did pretty well. I had about five separate ones. Daisies, rose of Sharron (sp?), dragon's breath (a gorgeous little moss like plant), morning glories, and a few others that I can't remember. I would go and spend a good hour with the kids weeding and watering and what not. I'm going to start buying seeds and figuring out what I will plant in a few months. Yay!
Well, I should get off the computer now. I have homework, dishes, and laundry to finish. Gah, I detest dishes. One day...I will be able to pay for someone to do them for me! HAhaaha! Mwahahaha! Hehheahhahha! *cough, cough* Le sigh. Whats the point...What kind of weird person would want to be payed to do dishes anyway? Back to home work...

An major thanks to Josh, Jamie, Amber, and Kate for helping me pick it out...I owe you guys.
My biggest hurdle this week was trying not to break down. I was swore at few times...First time because I took a chair that no one was sitting in. Hey, if you butt leaves the seat it's free game, k? And the second time was just this afternoon. Some girl was putting her feet on my chair and pushing against it, actually pushing me a bit forward. I wanted her to stop but I didn't want to interrupt the teacher so I just scooted forward a few inches. She swore under hear breath and did it again. We did this for another minute before I turned around and asked her to stop. She said no or something like that and then put her fee on the back of my chair against my shoulders. She quite when Kaitlyn turned around and told her to stop, though. Thanks Kaitlyn. Ugh. What is it? Bug the heck out of Haley week?
Sadly D&D was canceled for tonight because Dad and Josh aren't feeling to well. I'm kinda disappointed because I was really looking forward to killing of a fictional character...or twenty. But oh well, *shrug* there's always next Friday.
I think that's about it for now.

Let me start of by saying this: Whew, I made it. I really wasn't sure I was going to make it through this one. I mean, wow. 2007 just flew right by didn't it? So much has happened this year. It's really amazing. And terrible. Let's start with the amazing...if I'm lucky it will take up more space than the terrible.
I met some great people this year. Mostly because of Forensics. Which I place sole blame on Uncle Johnny for. Thanks Uncle John. Because of you I met a whole horde (no, really, horde) of people. I even met my arch-nemesis. Who really is no match for me (hence all the back up he needs: G3, Chocolate Boy, CW). But it's fun watching him try. I also strengthened some friendships and maybe even lost one or two.
Let's see what else. Oh yes. My writing has improved immensely (I hope I spelt that right) this year. I even finished The Order this year. It still needs a load of work before I'm going to let more people read it. But now I have time to also work on the other stories I have started this year. All three of them. One about Dragons and then the other two. One about a girl name Keller and the other about aliens...Yes, my life is boring (for the most part), so I do tend to live through my stories.
I spent a lot of time on the computer this year. Mostly reading various online comics I have found. Inverloch, Order of The Stick, and Girl Genius just to name a few. Sadly my typing skills haven't got much better. I've gotten better at playing the various X-box games we own too. I still am having trouble with the controller though. Give me a keyboard and a Joystick any day. And a mechwarrior game...and a Madcat mk2 with jump jets. DEATH FROM ABOVE, BABY! WHOO-HOOOOO! *ahem* Sorry.
Okay, that is the short version of what happened this year. I figured I wouldn't post all the bad stuff because you probably don't want to hear a huge sob story. Actually, I don't really feel like giving one right now anyway. Well, it's 10 o' clock. I should get to bed now or I won't wake up on time, no matter how loud my alarm (Dad version 1.0 , only available in select Prager-mart stores, while supplies last) is. Thanks for reading and be sure to tune in next time...*cue theme music*

What? How has my week been so far you ask? It sucked. A lot. Major suckiness going on. Monday and Tuesday I had an ear infection. It was my very first ear infection. The only thing that I know about an ear infection is that it hurts. Hmmm, I think I will look ear infections up in a while to find out what they really are.
Wednesday I had to go to the orthodontist (I hope I spelled that right). I was in the office for only a few minutes. All they had to do was put spacers between my back molars. It hurts so much. After the amazing five minute dentist visit Mom, Hannah, Josh, and I went to the mall. We didn't buy anything, just looked around. It was okay I suppose. I have never enjoyed shopping with Hannah and Josh. I have fun went I go with Mom, Dad, or my friends though. Eh. The day got better when Daddy and I watched Roxanne...I think that's how you spell it. That is an awsome movie.
Today I went back to school. Love school, don't like the people. No, I can't say that. I just don't like 'most' of the people. Today I have been tripped on and over, I had some one spit at me while they were laughing and I had a chair leg jammed into my back...twice. Oh yeah and someone was calling me names behind my back, just loud enough for me to barely hear them. Yup. Complete suckyness.
I wish we were having D&D tomorrow. I really need to kill some things. Well, I suppose that I will leave now and go kill things on Neverwinter Knights or Diablo...Hmmmm. Ah, I'll go play Diablo. I need to beef-up my Paladin anyway. Thanks for spending your time reading about my sucky week. I hope next week will be better.
Oh before I forget! It is twelve days to christmas! Yay! I love christmas. And fruit cake. I really hope grandma made fruit cake this year...If she didn't I will be very sad...I like fruit cake...It is yummy...and fruity...and cake like... Ohhh mighty fruit cake, you are very mighty, and, er, cake-like. *evil laughter* Sorry, bit of a Veggie Tales moment there. Okay, now that I feel better. I will go kill things! Death from above! Whoo-hoo!

8. It'll grow back. (This is also mine. I usually say this one someone get's a minor injury. I'm such a cruel person.)
9. Where is my ____? (We always seem to be loosing things...really important things)
10. Okay. Which one of you deleted my game!? (This is usually me yelling at Hannah and Josh for ruining my game...)
11. Josh get out of the kitchen. (He likes to try and sneak in the kitchen for snacks when I am baby sitting. He is absolutely amazed when I catch him.)
12. That's enough x-box for today. (When Hannah and Josh start screaming at each other and crying, we know it's time to quit.)
13. Haley! Your cookie dough saved me! (Last night Daddy 'fell' into my cookie dough. He then blew bubbles with it. That's my daddy.)
Okay, I think that's enough for now. Spork On, Haley

Anywho, I've been here all day and I managed to get started on some Christmas presents. Like Hannah's and Qwynne's. I plan on pulling through and getting everyone's gift the week before Christmas. Chocolate Boy: Turtle Boy sucked my poor little brother down with him. *tear* I feel so betrayed.
CW: I recieved a note a while back from a certain CW. I spent about two days or so going over the note and piecing together who it could be. I know who it was from as soon as I read the note, I just had to review the facts to be sure. Basically the note told me to stay away from Turtle Boy because, and I quote 'he is mine'. Pft! 2Tone: 2Tone was an ally of mine for a few months. We just kind of fell apart after a while.
Lucy Storm (reporter): Lucy works with the newspaper Comimar. She has yet to come out with an article though. I will be one of the first to read it when she does.

Maybe that's just all the excitment wearing off. Ha! I did it. Wow. I really did do it. I hadn't expected too, either. Half the time I felt completely disgusted with the turns my plot had taken. I am going to take a few days off from it and begin researching my speech for Forensics. I already have the topic picked out and everything. I even wrote a bit of it today. It's just a two paragraphs, but it's a start. *deep breath*
Well, I do believe that it is time for a well deserved break. I am going to go finish my dishes now. Dad is starting to yell at me. It's not my fault. Doing the dishes is an evil, diabolical task that should be forced on no one. But, alas, someone has to do it. Love you.

Dad and I spent the morning in the living room watching Stealth and Music & Lyrics. It was really fun. Near the very end of Stealth Josh woke up, sat behind me on the couch and played with my hair. I love it when he does that ;) When Mom and Hannah finally woke up and we got every one dressed we headed to Kawkalin to Uncle Pete's house.
The food was delicious. No offense to whoever did the turkey, but I still think Dad makes a better one. What can I say, I'm a turkey critic. After dinner Uncle Jeff chased my two younger cousins , Sydney and Conner, around with the turkey carcas because they were afraid to touch it. That was funny. He was going to freak me out with it but I had already been poking it. I am not scared by turkey,or deer, or any other animal carcas. I am the one who enjoys watching them be cut up after all. Ya, I'm a freak.
Okay. I think thats enough for now. I need to go work of that 'el pastel de calabaza' I ate earlier. Love you and hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Hey everybody. NaNoWriMo (that's National Novel Writing Month, for those of you just joining us) is going pretty well so far. I am a few thousand behind but I can catch that up in a jiffy. My plot has pretty much curdled into an icky chartreuse (yah, I'm not sure what color it is either, it just sounds cool) colored goop that I wouldn't want to touch with a fifty foot spork. But, alas, I must. I have redused to describing everything in full blown excruciating detail. Like this example here:
Wait! I can't I am too ashamed to post it. Please, don't be mad, I'll try and find something better. I have been so low down on word count that I had to describe the food they are eating. Right down to the manufacturers and ingredients. I've been tempted to make a few thousand words devoted solely to a stupid joke that one of my MC's made. Then I will have different character's come in, in the middle of the MC explaining why it was funny…every few minutes. That should take up some words. Heh.
I swear that this is a horrible piece of writing. I try to keep reminding myself that this is a 'puke draft' every time I point towards the back space button. Luckily I have a small and squishy turtle that I can throw at walls when I get frustrated. It even bounces back. (Evil laughter) It's a great stress reliever. You should try it some time. (Snicker)
In other NaNoWriMo news, my mother was about thirty thousand words behind. So I gave her a good idea and we ran with it. Yes. You did read that correctly. We. I told her that we should write the novel together. I've already caught her up too. Well, technically that's we, but I end up doing most of the writing. That means that I am now working on two novels. Yes, your right. This does suck. A lot. Ah, but life does go on.
I still have a whole bunch of homework due, and a few tests coming up. Erg! I am starting to get behind on all of the Digital comics I read too. Well, both of them at least. Oh…would you like to know the ones that I read? Okay.
Order of The Stick is found on a site called www.giantitp.com. It is a hilarious digital comic about a group of adventuring PC's called the order of the stick. You will only understand most of the jokes if you play or have played Dungeons and Dragons. Seriously you should gor read it now. I would start at the beginning though, it's petty indepth. Oh, and they are all drawn like stick figures.
Girl Genius is the newest. It can be found here. www.girlgeniusonline.com The plot and art is amazing. You should really go read this one to. It doesn't have anything to do with D&D. It's just really funny. I won't spoil the plot for you. Ha, now you have to go read it because you are curious.
Wow. Okay I must stop this and begin slaving over my…and mothers'…novels. See you all soon. Spork On, Haley

Now, where was I? Oh yes, Lucy. She was really great on the ride home. She didn't get sick until Daddy stopped the car in the driveway. It took about ten minutes to get her in the tub and what seemed like forty five to get her fully washed. Ugh! It took about ten minutes for mom to brush her. But we only got her head and back brushed. She is an extremely calm dog. Total polar opposit of Oreo. They get along like vanilla ice cream and chocloate syrup. Both girls are excited and wagging there tails constantly.
Oreo is trying to coerse Lucy into playing tug right now. Lucy won't buy it though. She is laying next to me and attempting to fall asleep. She is a gorgeous dog. Well, thats all for now. I'll put pictures of her up soon.

It took forever to get mars to show up on the telescope. Joshy and Hannah kept accidently nudging it so it would go out of focus again. When we finally did get Mars it was pretty cool. We went in at seven. It's starting to brighten up a bit now. We have to get ready for church soon. Sunday school starts at 9:30. I don't want to go to service though.
Sunday school is awsome! We get there at 9:30 and hold these huge discussions/debats. I love listening to everyone. There is only about seven of us who are there regularly. I made chocolate spritz for today.
I get pulled of track so easy....
Church service has been really monotonous for me lately. I don't get anything out of it anymore. Half the time I am fighting to stay awake. It worries me a bit to tell you the truth. Last week was wonderfull though. I actually got something out of the message and paid attention! And attention isn't cheap. Have to go get breakfast now.

Okay. It's actually 6:00a.m. But who cares? Most of the populace is still out cold. Dad decided to wake the family up super early , for a Sunday, and go look at the stars with his telescope. NaNoWriMo

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. A few of the people in my family have decided to do this. I was just the first to sign up. Go me woot! The goal for nanowrimo is to write a novel length...well novel. That means I need to write 175 pages (50,000 words). That boils down to 6 pages (1667 words) a day. That's not to hard. I've written more than that before.
This all happens in November. So, don't expect to see me in november. If you see me and I am not writting, nag me. I have a deadline. I am really excited about it to. Maybe I will post some of my story up here. I will be working on my superhero story that has been 1/5 done since last christmas.
If you want to sign up yourself or just see what all of the hoopla is about go to http://www.nanowrimo.org/.

Here are some of my random facts:
1. I am absolutely terrified of spiders. They have way to many appendages to be safe.
2. I have naturally strawberry blonde hair.
3. I love big dogs. Newfoundlands, Great Danes, St. Bernards, etc.
4. I want to be an Archeologist.
5. My mp3 player is lime green.
6. I named it Mountain Dew.
7. I have an arch nemesis.
8. He started it.
9. I wish dragons were real.
10. I wear my icthus/cross everyday.
11. If I ever get a tattoo it would be a plain black icthus on my right shoulder.

Mom was determined to wait with me at the school for Tyler and his parents so they could get a few pictures. Everyone avoided mom and I. They would look at us and then quickly look away. I thought it was hilarious. It would not suprise me if I was one of the only kids in school who is really comfortable with her parents. When Tyler finally arrived he gave me a corsage. He didn't have to, I mean we were just going as friends. It was still nice though. My corsage stayed together until I got home. Then a flower fell of.
I spent most of the dance with Amber and Kate. We had a blast! Josh attempted to put gum in my hair while I was talking to Amber. He would have gotten away with it if I hadn't seen his arm move. I didn't see Tyler or the rest of the 'usual suspects' much because I could never find any of them. I also didn't know any of the music. That didn't matter as much though.
I love going to dances. When I am at school or something important like that I try to focus all of my energy to do the best I can. If I plan on being an archeologist I need to keep the grades high, you know? But at dances and such I can relax. I don't have to worry about anything accept having fun.
My favorite part of Homecoming was dressing up. The girls dresses were all so beautiful. Most of the dresses were long with lots of tool. My dress was so much nicer than last years too. I loved to see the guys dress up to. Well thats all for now.

The Lucid Dream

Stupid Hypoglycemia is getting me down. I layed in bed for a while. About 10:20 I could hear dads television show. He was listening to a show on a christian chanel. A man and a woman were quoting scripture and relating them to everyday life. They mentioned something about the bible saying how the world would end. They talked about cars and choosing friends and some other stuff. I kept wondering when dad would turn it down.
When daddy woke me up at 6:00 I crawled down from the top bunk, grabbed my clothes, and hopped in the shower. A normal morning. When I left the bathroom to get breakfast I remembered what had kept me awake. I went to talk to dad about his t.v. habits. He told me that he wasn't watching any christian shows last night. Are you sure I asked. Ye-ess. I decided I was just going insane. I mean it happens right? Nothing I can do about it.
Then I realized that I had read somewhere about lucid dreams. It made sense. Or as much as anything makes sense. Mum and dad said it was possible. So there ya go. My first lucid dream. I'm so proud. Now if I could only remember more of the finer details. I might be able to see what it ment.

Fantastic Four Rise of The Silver Surfer comes out today! You have no idea how psyched I am. I want to get it A.S.A.P. I am not above groveling for an empty spot in someones living room if they already have it though. *hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
That is all for now.

I feel bad saying that too. We came home and raked leaves till 2:00. Thats was so much fun. I'll put pictures of us jumping in the leaves soon. Josh and Amber rolled up around 2:40. They looked a bit uncomfortable at first. Josh (birthday boy) was really sad that no one else showed up. I felt bad for my munchkin. He was so happy that Amber and Josh came though. I am so grateful to the both of them. If you guys read this thanks so much!

The Sugar Beets Are In!

It smelled sooo good. Yup, I am one of the insane people who love the smell of sugar beets. As daddy would say "It's an aquired taste."
Your probaly wondering why we went to Bay City huh? It wsn't just to smell the beet's if that what your thinking. We had to go pick up my dress for Homecoming. (I'll be sure to get pictures up next weekend) It's a gorgeous black dress that Jenny gave me a few years ago. Grandma Shirley had to re-hem it and take in the sides a bit. Other than that it fit really well. Then we had to visit Grandma Smith to pick up the jewelry.
We hadn't been to the River Walk in a while and Josh hasn't seen it since he had to be pushed in a stroller. So we went to the River Walk. Did you know that River of Time was going on this weekend? We walked around that to. It's not as cool as the Reinnassance Festival. Gosh, that reminds me, I would kill for a turkey leg right now. Dissregard the last sentence if you have never been to Ren-fest. All-in-all it's been a pretty good day so far.
